Hyperlock withdrawals became the app's focus after Thruster announced its closure
Hyperlock withdrawals became the priority after the app announced withdraw-only operation following Thruster's closure announcement. The notice asked holders to withdraw existing positions, and the app required an account connection to display holdings. It listed LPs, staked hyperTHRUST, and hyperTHRUST LPs, alongside yield and points views. Start by identifying the holding that belongs to the connected account. The category name alone does not state what a withdrawal will return.

Bottom line: The app separated staked hyperTHRUST from hyperTHRUST liquidity positions, so the same token name could identify different holdings.
A disconnected app cannot establish an account's holdings
The app asked for an account connection before showing positions, making that connection the prerequisite for a holdings review. A screen without account-specific data cannot tell you whether there is anything to withdraw. An absent position in that state does not establish a zero balance, and connecting to view holdings is not itself a withdrawal.
The withdrawal categories distinguish stakes from liquidity positions
The app named LPs, staked hyperTHRUST, and hyperTHRUST LPs separately, giving each holding a different context. A liquidity-provider position represents participation in a pool; a staked-token position identifies tokens placed in staking.
Liquidity-provider holdings
LP means liquidity provider. The LPs label identified liquidity positions, while hyperTHRUST LPs named the category involving hyperTHRUST. Keep the position's identity and units attached to its displayed amount. An LP amount cannot automatically be read as an amount of an underlying token.
hyperTHRUST-related holdings
The two hyperTHRUST labels referred to different forms of participation. Their shared token name did not make them interchangeable.
Staked hyperTHRUST
This category identified a stake involving hyperTHRUST. Its label does not establish a conversion into THRUST or a fixed redemption rate.
hyperTHRUST LPs
This category identified liquidity-provider positions involving hyperTHRUST. A liquidity position and a token balance describe different holdings, even when they involve the same token. The position that an account actually holds determines which category needs attention.
The withdrawal notice changed the context of earlier yield promotions
The app announced withdraw-only operation following Thruster's closure announcement. Its request concerned existing positions, so earlier descriptions of staking and boosted yield need their historical context.
Hyperlock's February 8, 2024 introduction described a yield and metagovernance protocol built around Thruster on Blast. That explained the relationship between the rewards layer and the underlying exchange. It did not set the terms for the later withdrawal phase.
Earlier participation incentives do not establish that new deposits remain available. Equally, the closure announcement does not specify the output of an individual withdrawal.
Yield and points views need their own interpretation
The app also listed Yield Positions and Points Positions alongside its LP and hyperTHRUST categories. Those labels alone do not express a withdrawable token amount. A points total cannot supply a redemption rate or a fee calculation merely because it appears near an existing position.
Keep any quantity attached to the asset or position that it describes. This avoids counting a points total as a token balance, or treating a yield figure as the amount returned from unstaking.
Where should an existing hyperTHRUST holding appear?
In this hypothetical example, the holding belongs under Staked hyperTHRUST if it is staked, or hyperTHRUST LPs if it provides liquidity. Assume the app is disconnected and the account has an existing hyperTHRUST-related holding. An account connection is the missing prerequisite for choosing the matching category.
Category names alone cannot identify which holding belongs to the account. After connection, suppose a staked hyperTHRUST position appears. Staked hyperTHRUST is then the category to review; the visible stake confirms that choice.
If the displayed holding were a hyperTHRUST LP instead, the matching category would change. When connection is unavailable, defer the position-specific review until the app can display the account's holdings. Switching categories cannot replace the missing account connection.
The holder has identified the relevant position, but viewing it has not released assets. Any withdrawal decision still concerns that position and the output that its withdrawal offers.
The returned asset determines the next exit decision
eesee's Phase 2 instructions for WETH/ESE Thruster V2 liquidity on Blast required withdrawing LP tokens from Hyperlock before redeeming them for pool assets on Thruster. Those earlier instructions do not establish the route's availability during withdraw-only operation. The withdraw-only notice does not specify one asset that every position will return.
An LP token represents a liquidity position; receiving that token differs from receiving the pool's underlying assets. Likewise, receipt of hyperTHRUST does not itself establish conversion into THRUST.
Confirmation needs to match the action taken. A position appearing on screen confirms visibility. A completed exit needs confirmation of the affected position and the asset received, expressed in that asset's units.
The next decision is whether the asset now held is the intended endpoint. A remaining liquidity position or hyperTHRUST balance raises a further question about that particular holding's available exit terms.
Practical questions
-
Did the withdraw-only notice announce automatic payments to holders?
- The withdraw-only notice asked holders to withdraw existing positions; it did not announce automatic payments. A general closure message does not confirm that a particular account has received assets from its position.
-
What withdrawal deadline did the notice give holders?
- The brief withdraw-only notice did not specify a calendar deadline. That leaves the closing date unresolved; it does not promise indefinite access to the application or every position.
-
Can a missing position after connection prove that it was withdrawn?
- A missing position after connection does not by itself prove a completed withdrawal. An empty display leaves the holding's status unresolved unless the account's records establish what happened to that particular position.
-
Is there a flat fee for every Hyperlock withdrawal category?
- The withdraw-only notice does not establish a common fee across the listed position categories. It gives no basis for treating an exit as free or for applying a single percentage to every holding.
